CREATIVE DIRECTOR/PRODUCER
Design, direct and produced corporate video programs and live events for Fortune 500 companies: Abbott Labs, Ernst & Young, Sony. Included creative design of video and graphic elements, as well as stage design, signage and theme logos. Also directing and overseeing production and editing of video elements, soundtrack design and production, staging and direction of live events.

BROADCAST PRODUCER
Oversaw production and direction of all agency television and radio commercials; managing the agency’s in-house broadcast production department as well as interfacing with outside vendors and production companies. Involved developing estimates from boards and concepts, bidding, casting, negotiating talent fees and contracts, crew scheduling, filming and post production through finish. Included new campaigns as well as weekly production of television and radio spots for agency clients: Food 4 Less corporation (Ralphs, Food 4 Less), Thrifty-PayLess Drug Stores throughout the seven Western States, ABCO Foods (AZ grocery chain), and Weis Markets (PA grocery Chain).

Freelance producer of television and radio commercials for numerous agencies as well as producing and directing for my own clients. Also continued work in the audio-visual field producing and directing business theater, and industrial film and video. Clients include Shimano, El Pollo Loco, Forte Hotels International, Allergan, Hybritech, Buena Vista Television and others.

BROADCAST PRODUCER
Oversaw production of all agency television and radio commercials. Involved all aspects of broadcast production for television and radio commercials, as well as special event non-broadcast videos.
Broadcast clients included: San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Great American Bank, Union Tribune Newspapers, San Diego Padres, McDonald's Restaurants, San Diego Humane Society, PetCo.

PIX Productions Oct. 1972 - July 1985
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Produced over 500 industrial productions for clients such as Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Shiley Labs, Yamaha International, Altec Lansing, Beckman Electronics, Basic Four Computers, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, U.S. Armed Forces Training. Involved producing/directing audiovisual productions including film, video, sound, and Multi-image slide projection.

Producer: Estimating to boards or budget, bidding, scheduling, casting, negotiating production contracts, talent payments, post scheduling, post-production, follow- up and actualizing budgets.
Directing: Film, video, still photography, voice over narration and on-screen talent.
Photography: Film (16 & 35mm) and video (all formats), 35mm through 8X10 still camera.
Lighting; Still and motion including strobe and incandescent.


Sound Production: Multi-track recording/production techniques, editing narration and music, including use of Digidesign Pro Tools. Direction of soundtrack scoring with both library and original music.

Editing: Fully proficient with Premier Pro CC and all of the Creative Suite Applications. Apple Final Cut Studio, Color Grading with SpeedGrade and Apple Color.

Graphics: Fully Proficient in After Effects and all of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Encore.

Presentation: Large screen video design and production. Keynote and Powerpoint authoring, DVD authoring, specialty iPad app authoring for one-off apps.

Special Projects: iPad Authoring: Utilizing an existing app, created a stand-alone interactive sales tool for the iPad that combines a clients existing slide presentation, PDF’s and video into an interactive presentation for the iPad. Can be used for one-on-one sales as well as on trade show floors.

Editor: Restored and edited for commercial video release, “5 Summer Stories” by MacGillivray-Freeman Films, a classic 90 min. surfing documentary originally produced in 1972. Involved overseeing the cleaning and re-transferring original negatives, re-conforming to original version, and digitally re-recording and re-mastering the soundtrack.

Web Design: Designed and created web sites for my own companies MS Communications (cajcom.com), MidCenturyAudio.com and WestCoastProjections.com, as well as specialty pages for Ralphs Grocery Company and Thifty-PayLess, Inc.
