Mark Shuttleworth

If you don’t know who this guy is, which wouldn’t be wholly surprising, he is worth looking into. He made all his money during the dot com boom, he created an internet security company called Thawte, then sold it to Verisign for $575 million dollars. He has started a myriad of projects and foundations, his main focus being education and Linux. He is the driving force, and wallet, behind the Ubuntu Linux distribution, and the Shuttleworth Foundation (I wonder where he got the name? 🙂 )

The more I have read about this guy the more I like him. He is still a geek and enjoys hacking code and playing video games from time to time. He is just a little older than me and has really done alot with his money that many other would either end up wasting on themselves or waste trying to get more money.
