I am miffed. If you have ever been jerked around by some credit company, then you too have probably felt miffed at some point. Take GE Money Bank as the “hypothetical” creditor (purely random, I can assure you :] ), if you are late by even one day with your payment they jack your rate through the roof. I am not talking about a little bump, I am talking about a ‘New Cars for everyone in the company” type bump where they are still trying to figure out exponentials to define the increase. (actually I think its a distributed computing project.. 😛 )

Doesn’t it just amaze you at how the credit companies have us all by the short hairs? I wouldn’t dare do anything that could *gasp* affect my credit score! God forbid. So why then, are we so dependent on credit? Instant gratification? Useless accumulation of junk? Apart from a mortgage what do we really need credit for? Crap, that what we need it for, we love crap. We love it so much that we pay people to give it to us. The old addage, “I don’t take crap from anyone” is so true! We don’t take crap from anyone, we gladly pay them for it!! Then rent a storage unit so we don’t have to get rid of it.

I have come to the conclusion that if I want to take any sort of control of my life I have to get control of the crap first. Heh, we’ll see how that goes..

Oh and boycott GE Money Bank and Chase, they’re both pricks.
